iWGC Founder and CEO announced as finalist in EY Entrepreneur Of The Year

iWantGreatCare is delighted to announce that Founder & CEO Dr Neil Bacon is a finalist in the EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award 2016. Entrepreneur Of The Year celebrates the spirit and contribution of exceptional entrepreneurs who can see the future, and through their entrepreneurial businesses, are helping to reshape it.

Dr Neil Bacon certainly ticks all those boxes. Stemming from a determination to drive transformational improvement in healthcare standards and to empower patients to make informed decisions about their care, Dr Bacon has relentlessly pursued his vision of making ratings and reviews from patients a fundamental metric of healthcare quality.

Commenting on becoming a finalist, Dr Bacon said:

“It is a great honour that the work of iWantGreatCare has been recognised in this way, and it is a humbling moment to reflect and consider that with over 3 million reviews from members of the public, iWGC is genuinely making a difference to healthcare.  In making this feedback fully, openly accessible to the public, I know iWGC will help build staff morale, enhance public trust, and act as an early warning system.”

Recognising the vision and passion of entrepreneurs across the UK, the 139 finalists have been selected from across all regions.
Together they employ over 39,000 people and generate a combined revenue in excess of £5.75b. The programme has been running globally for the past 30 years, and now reaches maturity in its 18th year in the UK.

The awards ceremony takes place on Tuesday, 14 June 2016 and iWGC is hoping for good news!
